Geographic Features
-Near the rivers, the soil was wet and soggy, and eventullay it grew plants.
-The rivers affected people because they got to gather the plants for extra food.
- The uses for the river were for hunting,attracting animals, and used for drinking.
-There were no religious aspects of using the river water.
- There were natural crops growing beside the river.
-Land near the river was naturally watered by the river.
- The 2 rivers,Euprates and Tigirs, were combined together because of a flood that occured.
-Tigris flowed in the Persian Gulf, but just the Tigris River was 1146 miles long..!!
-The 2 rivers were know as the birth place of Mesopotamia.
-When the 2 rivers were formed together, it was then called the Fertile Crescent.!
-The rivers were high up from the ground because of the built- up silt that sat from the river beds.
-The rivers included the Jordan River Valley and that of the nile.
- Early settlers from Mesopotamia used wooden plows to soften the soil before planting.
- Its has been proven that the Tigris River moved faster then the Euprates River.
- They used the rivers for trade and farming during flooding season.
- It was a central part of it's society because they used it for ways of trade, transport, and a source of food.
- The Tigris flowed into the Persian Gulf.
- They used to make canals to improve their irriagation system.
- The rivers used to overflow seasonaly and their were natural crops next to the river.
